The Volrend interface (see Figure )
consists of an image region with a control panel
on the right hand side. The window is fully resizable, and the image
region will scale to fill the area available. The control panel
consists of the alpha control widget; buttons to open files, dump TIFF
files, render the object and specify image interpolation; and sliders
to adjust the zoom factor and brightness.

translated by dragging the bounds box with the right mouse button.
- Click on the render button to render the data,
- Repeat the above steps, adjusting zoom, brightness and contrast
(alpha) to obtain the desired image.
- Dump the contents of the image field to a TIFF file by pressing
